After graduating from high school, I started college because, that’s what you’re ‘supposed to do’ once you graduate, right? I was never motivated, I changed my major a couple times, and never thought I would ever love what I did. I soon learned you don’t have to love what you do, you have to do what you love. I started working at a salon as a receptionist and I fell in love with the industry. I knew I had to make a change, so I enrolled in Paul Mitchell in Cranston, RI. While in school, I earned a trip for three days of education and networking with the best in the business in Las Vegas. I graduated 3 months early with honors. In the meantime, I finished my bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Rhode Island College.

Once I was done with school, I became a stylist at the salon I worked at as a receptionist. I loved it and learned so much; but I felt like there was so much more out there, so much more to learn, I felt like I was stuck in a creative rut. In August 2017 I knew it was time to finally jump the gun and make a change, I found iStyle Salon, where I am located now. I wanted to be on my own as a renter and it was the perfect fit for me. I love iStyle and the team of women we have in our salon.

When in school, I always had a dream of doing weddings, wishing and waiting for the day when people would hire me for the most important day of their life thus far. I began doing hair and makeup for a few weddings here and there, and I gained a great deal of experience in my first two years. I have done countless weddings and there’s nothing more rewarding than making bridesmaids, mothers, and most importantly, brides, feel beautiful on their big day. I love it more and more each day that passes. I’m so thankful I found my passion.

The key to success is to never stop learning and I promise my clients I will never stop trying to give them the best possible experience with each and every service.

Sarah Depault Beauty is my newest endeavor. I’m ready to brand myself, to start my own business. We offer on-location hair and makeup services for weddings, photoshoots, and special events. We use prestige makeup lines including Temptu airbrush makeup Urban Decay, MAC, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Morphe, Scandinavia and countless others. We also use top of the line hair products such as Moroccan Oil, Matrix, Kenra, Paul Mitchell, and Amika to name a few.

I work with some of the best stylists around and I wouldn’t have it any other way; they’re amazing assets to the Sarah Depault Beauty team and a huge part of our success.

Best wishes,

sweet loves notes

Sarah did my make up, along with my bridal party, for my wedding in March 2016 and it was quite literally the most beautiful I have ever felt. 7 months later she did the make up for my brothers wedding, at 6 months pregnant I wasn’t sure lightening could strike twice but it was one of the few days during my pregnancy that I truly felt I was glowing. In December 2017 I was a bridesmaid again and of course suggested Sarah to my gorgeous friend to make her feel amazing and was so glad I did. Everyone looked amazing. I almost refuse to pay anyone else to do my make up for me at this point!!
